Sew… What a month! This is the first year I have participated in Me Made May and not only has it meant being able to take a peak at everyone’s amazing handmade wardrobes but it has also got me thinking about what I want to achieve with my sewing.
Let’s start at the beginning of May. I pledged to you all that I would wear me made on non work days and schedule in sewing days. I’ve achieved both, yay. I have worn 19 me made outfits, made 5 new garments and altered 5 garments so that they that are now wearable. So pleased. My first Minerva Craft review post has also been published which you can see here.
I posted a roundup each week on my blog which you can see here:
Over the month I have definitely noticed I am lacking in pyjamas, lounging around wear and summer dresses.
I love sewing and wearing what I’ve made. I can definitely see improvements with every sew and really want to start pushing myself. Sewing is definitely in my future. Before I get carried away with new patterns and more fabric I want to use up what I have already accumulated. I have decided to do a stash stocktake! From that I am then going to plan makes for the rest of the year. I’m sure I can add some more pyjamas and dresses to my wardrobe by shopping my stash!
Did you participate in Me Made May? What are you sewing goals for the rest of the year?
